Magic Ay's Story
I always knew the mystery of magic interested me. I used to think magicians had real power, I remember watching the David Nixon show, I was always impressed with the magic he performed. This allowed me to create an imagination.
From around the age of 9. I was dabbling in magic. I remember going to a local magic shop, well really, they were mostly called joke shops back then, and buying the pretend cigarette, as you drew air from them, they would glow red using a bright coloured red foil, and you would have to get close enough to see it was a trick cigarette. I would keep my distance for as long as possible fooling everyone, and I really did fool everyone, although I didn’t really see this as magic, it was more of a joke really, hence the shop name type (Joke Shop) although I remember enjoying fooling people and I was entertaining people without realising I was entertaining, and this was my first step into magic without knowing that I was doing magic.
My parents used to go to local clubs and I would mix with the other kids and I would pretend to make things disappear. For example I would use a napkin. I would make a fist and push the napkin into my fist and try to hide the napkin, making it look as though it has completely disappeared.
Sometimes I would get away with this and occasionally there would be that one kid that would notice what I was doing! and then they would just have to shout it out in front of everyone standing there, although I got away with it more often than not. However there were times I got away with it, and it was a great feeling because the look on their faces, they were so impressed it gave me a feeling of excitement, and again I was entertaining without realising I was entertaining, Today I really can do this. I've improved.
It was obvious I wanted to be an entertainer I just didn’t know it yet. My best friend invited me to his birthday party, he said, "we are going to have a magician" I was really excited because this is something that I knew I would love to see, I was looking forward to it. The day couldn’t come quick enough. I have never seen a live magician before, only on TV. So, this was exciting for me. That very day came. I arrived early because I didn’t want to miss anything, I was so looking forward to seeing a live magic show. Being honest I was so disappointed, it could have been that I expected more, or it really was simply “R***SH” Well you know what I mean!
I watched this magic show with so much excitement & enthusiasm, the magician started off with silks and made them disappear which was great, this is something I have been doing myself for some time, only with napkins, but then he done some more silk magic and more silk magic followed by balloon animals, I’m sure you get the picture.
I knew then I wanted to be an entertainer using magic, and I knew I could do a better job than the magician at my friend’s party. I started learning the art of magic and perfecting magic. Over the years and I have become the entertainer that I believe that the kids of today would like to see. Children love being entertained when magic is presented in an entertaining way, and if there is that one child that is passionate about magic in the same way as myself in the audience. I will strive not to disappoint. I want to make sure that my own experience of being disappointed is not repeated for another child.
I have now been performing magic, all around the country for several years for children & adults and have received great feedback and accolades from many past performances. I don’t declare to be the best, but I will do my best to make sure every magic show / party the best I can make it.
Today I am known as Magic-Ay! Well to children mostly, not so much adults. This comes from a child in one of my early shows, the birthday child wanted to call everyone by their middle names. My middle name starts with an "A" so that day I became Magic – Ay and it’s stuck ever since.

Magic San's Story
From a young age Sandra enjoyed acting and always wanted to take it to the next level. At School she joined drama class which encouraged exactly that. Sandra appeared in many of the school plays and was praised by her coach who highlighted her natural talent.
After leaving school Sandra went on to Greenwich Community college to take it a step further! Here she gained her Diploma for Musical Theatre and performed in various plays at Greenwich Theatre.
Sandra had another interest! She wanted to work with children and went on to work with those with special educational needs. Here is where Sandra gained so much Experience and this developed her love of working with children. During this time her passion for acting took a back seat and this is when she realised she wanted to combine the 2 and this is when she founded All Around Magic. Sandra learnt the art of Magic and took her acting skills to the next level becoming Magic San.
Magic San is a professional magician, delivering pure entertainment to the audience, with a natural ability to present her shows to children. She is DBS checked, and Magic San has entertained children of all ages up & down the country performing in Venue halls, Theatres, Restaurants and people’s homes.
Magic San has gained a wealth of Experience over the years of entertaining children and will create a unique and memorable show for you and your child’s party.
